Social responsibility

We firmly believe that our success largely depends on our employees — vessel crews and onshore personnel. Our human capital is our most valuable asset.

We place the utmost importance on developing, motivating, and incentivizing our employees, as well as maintaining high standards of social guarantees and working conditions. Sovcomflot is a dependable and responsible employer that fulfils its commitments to employees, thereby attracting highly skilled professionals and ensuring high staff retention.

We actively engage in the professional growth of our employees and provide the necessary conditions for it. We have established an in-house personnel training system, which includes two training centres.

One of our absolute priorities is to provide decent working conditions for all employees, both at sea and onshore. We actively foster the development and wider adoption of best labour relations practices, in particular, through our long-term collaboration with the Seafarers' Union of Russia. We devote much attention to constantly raising the safety culture and occupational safety indicators.

A key aspect of our responsible approach to our staff relations is upholding and protecting human rights, preventing discrimination, and ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.

Charity and sponsorship

We are committed to conducting business in a socially responsible manner. We focus our charity and sponsorship efforts on socially important projects and initiatives, including:

  • Supporting educational and social institutions
  • Enhancing the prestige of the maritime profession, advancing maritime education and water sports
  • Preserving biodiversity
  • Assisting retired seafarers
  • Preserving the cultural and historical heritage of Russia and supporting scientific and cultural programs in regions of operation.
